I'm a regular at Mad River and love their site. Kinda upset that it's not locally owned anymore but hey that's business! Experience was great, everyone is following COVID protocols and the employees are even enforcing mask wearing (kinda shocked at this one). Slopes were nearly perfect and the way they've streamlined the lift system has made getting up and down the slopes even easier. Taking off one star for the lack of a communication system. Phones were down but on the site it still says to call a number. After a few calls I found an email and got an answer pretty quickly but the site still needs to be updated with the proper info. Can't wait to be back!

It’s a joke how the whole ticketing process works. You buy the tickets online and still wait in long crowded lines to pick up your lift ticket. Social distancing is a joke. They need to come up with a better process. Maybe kiosks or use printed tickets or tickets on your phone. It’s not a good experience. Update: came back the following week the lines are even longer and ridiculous. That’s the line for rentals people standing in line. No COVID HERE have the people are not wearing masks in the line. Not coming back here again.
Best Ohio snow skiing I have done in my 32 years alive. Mad river did a great job following new protocol but also making sure we still had fun! Lifts were in great condition, not one break down the whole time I was there!!
Our family had a fantastic experience here yesterday. Had to rent ski boots due to us forgetting mine at home, and employees at rentals were professional and knowledgeable. The staff at the lifts are exceptionally great with young kids. One in particular(didn’t get his name) gave my husband and I helpful tips in teaching our 4 year old how to ski. We much appreciated his kindness.
I did the night Skiing. It was wonderful and I had a lot of fun! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I stood in line for around 30 minutes to buy a ski rental pass and then for over an hour more in another line to rent the equipment. We were waiting in line for a total of 1.5-2 hours. After we got our equipment it was great. Get there early otherwise you will cut into your ski time just waiting in line.
