Professors are usually very good, but the administration (particularly the College Records Office) can be extremely hard to work with. The campuses look really good though.

Northern Virginia Community College, a.k.a. NOVA, is one of the best great college for students who want to save tuition. Plus, they can have more time to think their appropriate major in here. For foreign students, NOVA’s ESL program is very well organized and popular so that you can experience the ethnic diversity in here.

I have been here for about a year and half; the counselors have very little knowledge on what to do to attain a degree. I basically had to do all the research myself and when I asked them certain questions on how to get my degree they told me what I've already known. I have not met with any of my supposed assigned counselors even though I have requested to meet with them multiple times. Also, I have told many professors about my current situations and my abrupt change of living situations. They were very inconsiderate and did not try to work with me during this tough time. The administration has emailed us and claimed to work with us during this difficult time in the pandemic. However, my professors have not been considerate and have been even more hard on me during this time. Overall, my professors have been okay or sub-par. I have had some good professors; however, most have not been great.

I took about half a BS degree here various courses in business, nursing, biology, public speaking. Good price when I went. More expensive these days though. Still a lot less expensive than a 4 year college and you get the same credit. Courses seem a bit more practical oriented and less theoretical than 4 year colleges. Particularly useful was intro to microcomputer software and accounting classes I think.

Great college that offers associate degrees to those pursuing careers in sciences, social sciences, and technology. They also offer certificates after completing certain programs.
