I took my bike in the have the front and rear Derailleur adjusted after I installed new front and rear shimano shifter/ brake combo levers. I also purchased new tires and grips at the same time as the shifters. I installed the shifters at home and couldn't get the derailleurs set up so I figured I'd take it back to Recyclist to get them set up right. While I had it there I figured I'd have them install the tires right away. I went for a drive and came back to get the bike about a half hour later. The bike was still on the service rack but the new tires where on it so I asked if it was finished. The original tech was apparently on break so the guy went to ask if the bike was done. Apparently he had finished the bike so I took it home. The next morning I got ready for a ride. When I hopped on the bike I would pedal and it would freewheel forward like it wasn't catching a gear. If I let of on the pedal I'd have a big drupe in the chain. If I tried to pedal in reverse it would just bind up. Went back to the shop and ended up having to buy a new rim that cost 59 installation fee. The bike was fine when I dropped it off and now i have to buy a new rim because of something g they did. They did t offer me any kind of discount on the new rim or even an apology for messin up my bike. Not happy with this place. Left them a couple email messages and still haven't heard anything.

I brought my dads bike from 1996 here in hopes they could check it over and make sure it was road ready for me. The tech checked it over, ran through the gears, cleaned the chain and some other things, then went through the tires with me explaining the valves and other things. Cost was totally fair and I was in and out in 20 minutes!

Small but well kept and clean bike shop. I visited this place with a few friends and the people working were very nice. I would visit again for sure.

I took my bike in for a tune-up and new tires. The woman behind the counter said the mechanic would call me about the tires. When I got the call the bike was ready, I asked about the tires and the mechanic said he just put some on like the old ones. He also said he replaced the rim strips and tubes (two different size tubes for some reason) without asking. The tires were unacceptable. He showed me two models that were more like I wanted. It took a full week to get the new tires. When I did a test ride, they both rubbed against the bike. The mechanic told me I was wrong about the front (it was just my “flimsy” fender) but there was nothing he could do about the rear. Fed up, I had him take the tires off. While he was removing the tires, he complained about hard it was to put them on. He also played a shuffle of annoying music: 15 seconds of one annoying song then 15 seconds of another (including one with a lyric something like “smoke pot every day”) ad nauseum. Needless to say, I will never be going back.
