This place is the real deal. Professional. Go at your own pace. Friendly. Family owned. I started taking my granddaughters for guitar lessons. They were able to accommodate both at the same time. Then I decided I’d enroll too. We all take lessons now. At the same time. I’m finally learning piano. My teacher, Miss Bernice, is so skilled and encouraging. It has been the best decision I’ve made in a long time!! Fees are fair. We are lucky to have this business in Arlington.
Both of my children have taken lessons from Arlington School of Music. One took drum lessons for 7 years, and the other has studied piano for 6 years and is still going. These instructors are truly talented. They will work with whatever style of music you want to learn. This is a well-established music school with instructors who truly have a passion for music and helping you be the best musician you can be.

My 16-year-old son has been taking guitar lessons from Jimmy at Arlington School of Music for almost 6 years. During this time, he has learned a great deal about playing the guitar but I believe the music theory he has learned is equally impressive. I’ve sat outside of their sessions and been very impressed by Jimmy’s depth of knowledge in all types of music. He encourages his students to learn songs that they are interested in and he dissects them and delivers the lessons in appropriate “bite-sized” pieces. He talks about what the writer and artist were likely doing as well as other musical pieces that are similar. This leads down the path of music theory which is too often overlooked when learning to play an instrument. My son has learned a tremendous amount about the guitar and the music he is playing. I can’t recommend this school and Jimmy highly enough. He genuinely cares for his students and focuses on what they are capable of learning and the music they love. Give them a try!
