Disclaimer, I was a huge fan of the old Masquerade on North Ave.. As a live music bar, the new Masquerade does very well in providing a nice open floor space and great views of the stage, with the exception of the massive concrete columns. Bar service was fast and friendly and the acoustics were good. That being said, I don't feel it captures the original glory of the earlier location. Heaven and hell are not stacked on top of each other, they are across the courtyard. The courtyard area is a very convenient place to smoke if you are a smoker and easy entry back into the venue. The show was great!

Hoping to see them open again before too long! Countless memories of this place.

The concert I saw was great, but the venue I feel like could have been better. The line to get in was very confusing. I stood in an empty parking garage for 40 minutes and then it turned out that there was a whole other line merging into the line I was in. It was also very hard to hear the singers of the band's I saw, I mostly just heard the music, which is good, but I also would like to hear the words being sung. It's not a venue that I'm willing to drive 2 1/2 hours to go to again.

Saw Failure here a couple weeks ago. First Masquerade show. Awesome venue! Sound was top notch, bar was great, and everyone was super friendly. Underground Atlanta feels sketchy, which is kinda cool for a rock club vibe, but was disconcerting to see cops stationed everywhere.

I always enjoy coming to this venue. The staff have been here for a long time and understand how the system needs to work. It’s become a staple for the majority of artists to make it their stop in Atlanta and therefore provides some quality shows. I’ve only been in Hell and Purgatory, but I know if those rooms are great, then the main room Heaven must be as well. Check out a show sometime!
