I've been a member at Atlantis for over a year. It's a great club with a lot of very committed regular swimmers. There are two outstanding things about this pool: It is salt water and the glass roof opens! The pool is not full olympic sized but big enough for laps. The deck and locker rooms are clean but not luxurious. The deck looks out over the Charles river. There are machines and wight training stations, not very many, but it is not a crowed place and I rarely have to wait. The best thing about this gym is the staff. They are courteous and clearly really care about the place. They also take member suggestions seriously and the past year has seen some real improvements and some new machines, including three Concept rowing machines! Parking at the hotel is free with validation from Atlantis. I am really happy with this place overall and recommend it.

Have to disagree with Nicola. I hate cold water, which is why I love this pool. Maybe it depends on when you're there? Also love that it's salt water. It does get crowded sometimes.

In January, 2017, the Atlantis club in Bedford, where I was a member, called me about extending my membership early to get a discount. My membership at that time ran until the end of June. I opted for a 6-month renewal (thru December), because the manager had told me that the hotel might end or renegotiate the contract with Atlantis at the end of the year. Well, surprise, the hotel broke the contract in MAY! If I had had any idea that the hotel was able to do that, I would not have paid early for a membership extension. I was given the option to use another site, but all their other locations were much too long a drive to be practical for me. So I asked for a refund of the extension money I had paid in January. I asked several times, but never got even an apology, not to mention a refund - not for June, and not for the extension thru December. Buyer beware - Atlantis seems to be a shoestring operation, and evidently may not be able to guarantee its continued operation at your specific site. This was the case at the Bedford site, where all the power lay with the hotel. And if the hotel decides they don't want Atlantis managing YOUR site, Atlantis can leave you holding the bag, as they did with me.

The pool is lovely but poorly managed. There is no system for swimming in circular lanes so you have to wait to get in the pool. I have been involved in several disputes about who goes next and who gets to use the lane. The last time I was there a woman was walking down the center of my lane making it impossible to swim around her. I tried not to kick her but then I was at risk of kicking someone in the next lane. Bad management.

They treat the disabled with complete disrespect! Also lack in cleanliness Shame as the saline pool is nice but the FT staff is horrendous:(

Chlorine not used, which is good. However, despite the promise, the water is very cold.
