I realize there are not many neuromuscular doctors to choose from, so beggars can't be choosers. I wish I could be. The place is hard to find and there isn't proper signage. The office is very nice, though. Dr. Hussain didn't even bother to show up for my first appt. It turned out he wasn't even in town. He had a nurse do all of my testing and she had another nurse do part of the testing for her. The nurse told me they had to cancel the appt after mine (I don't know why she would bother to share that info with me), but then she wouldn't tell me why they had to cancel it. My second appt was cancelled because Dr. Hussain was called in for an emergency biopsy. Biopsies aren't emergencies. They are always scheduled a week or two out. I had rearranged childcare and work. It was a huge pain and then I had to do it all again the next day. I finally did a telemedicine appt with Dr. Hussain to get my test results. I'd say it was the first time I ever saw his face, but he only had the camera pointed at the top half of his face. 80 in co-pays and 5 hours of missed work to only see half of his face for 12 minutes for him to refer me to a different specialist. What a waste of time and energy!

One of the worst doctors I've ever been too. He doesnt listen. He rushes. In the middle of asking questions he gets up and says come with me and takes us to the front and leaves. He was more concerned about his lunch. In the middle of my testing he interupts the lady about his lunch. Ive never been treated so poorly by a doctor. The girl who did my testing however, was polite, courteous and answered all my questions. She took her time and makes the patient feel both heard and important. She deserves 5 stars.

If I could rate a zero or negative, I would. Can not even get an appointment scheduled. NUMEROUS Neurologists are fed up as well with the way the practice is being ran. Is this clinic even still open? I am happy to update a review after my son and numerous others can be tested, schedule appointments, etc.. I have been told this is a “Mom and Pop” clinic and they know they are the only ones around that do certain testing and possibly taking advantage of this. AGAIN, IF this is true. That is what other nurses and doctors in all of Austin surrounding area are saying now. Update 2020 still was never able to get a child seen with numerous doctor referrals.

My young daughter had her autonomic testing done at this facility today and we had a very pleasant experience. We knew we were going to see a diagnostician, not to become a long-time patient, so we did not go with the hopes that others do of needing a lot of explaining-since I get all of that from her specialists in San Antonio. From the to the front desk, to Emil, the tech, to Bryan the MA, and to Dr Hussein himself—everyone was uniformly helpful and kind. Oh! And both the diagnostic tech and the doctor asked my daughter for consent to touch her, which goes a very long way in my book. And-after the appt Bryan, gave me soooo many resources to help with next-steps for me to support her. I absolutely recommend this office as a compliment to you or your child’s main providers-and am so grateful that they have brought these diagnostic tools to south Texas, tools that my own major city and health systems don’t have or use frequently. This office is a gem in our region.

Dr. is friendly and knowledgeable and front desk staff is friendly but that’s where it ends. First, the parking is terrible if you own anything larger than a small car, I drive a full size truck and had trouble parking due to the size of the spaces. The building layout looks like it was designed by a child so getting around is hard. Once you are in the office it’s pleasant. I was told to come back for some testing and was specifically told do not come in if you are feeling unwell. My appointment was scheduled for a Monday and the Friday before I started feeling sick and tried to call and leave a message since they are not open fridays, I was unable because the voicemail box was full. The Monday morning of the testing i was still not feeling good so I called the office to inform them of the situation and was told it was no big deal and someone would call me back to reschedule. No one ever called but the staff was more than happy to bill me a 150 no show fee. I have left messages trying to get this taken care of but no response. Every time you call be prepared to leave a message and wait for a call back which likely won’t come anytime soon. In summary he’s a good doctor who could be great if his staff knew how to run an office, they are making things hard on the patients. I will not be returning to him specifically because of the staff.
