A buddy of mine teaches music (guitar) to kids 6 to 16 years old. I help out 1 day a week or so setting up drums and loading up for weekend gigs( when clubs are open ) If you want to see your child learn an instrument in a fun and safe atmosphere...this is the tip of the top. The bee's knees.

This was our fifth experience with music instruction for our five year-old daughter and it was head-and-shoulders above the rest. Paul Pollini was fantastic with her because he was able to relate to her and he broke down instructions and corrections without being patronizing. Our daughter got to work on guitar lesson 1 material and also spend a few minutes on vocals with breathing exercises. I was very pleased with the meticulous instruction and my daughter left excited about music!

Our SAX teacher was GREAT - an Austin musician who knew theory and practical application. The facility is HIDEOUS, at least in the summer when we went. Rock Camp is allowed to play at something like 8,000 decibels WITH THE DOORS TO THEIR ROOM OPEN. I am not exaggerating when I say that you cannot hear yourself think in this place when bands are playing. Actually, a variety of teachers seem to teach for some reason with their doors open - I really don't understand what the idea is.

I took piano lessons for one year here and they were very very bad lessons. Paul polini cannot teach at all, and he has little to no respect for classical and contemporary piano. Very bad experience, and don't waste your money with Paul.
