Dr Stocker is the best dentist in Austin. I have the best dentist in Austin. This is what I think to myself every time I visit Dr Stocker in the 25 years I’ve been going to him to take care of my teeth. I thought I would share that with y’all because I know I’m not the only one and I don’t want to be selfish and keep this information all to myself.️

After moving here, I needed a new dentist so came to Dr. Stocker after reading the reviews. I had an outstanding experience from interacting with the staff, the check up through to a cleaning. They’ve implemented strong health protocols in place to protect patients and staff so I was comfortable for both visits. I had a full set of xrays followed by Dr. Stocker thoroughly checking everything with a focus on where I’ve been experiencing some sensitivity. Not finding anything to fix, we agreed to keep an eye on the area for now. It was a great experience with clear communications, suggestions, and being made to feel at ease throughout. My follow up cleaning was one of the best I’ve had. I have an aversion to metal on my teeth and have sensitive gums which she took on board, being careful, gentle and thorough with the cleaning. Overall, just a great experience. Highly recommend Dr. Stocker and his staff.
Great dentist. Very kind, but also professional. Great attention to detail. Their tooth cleaning team is extremely gentle yet thorough. Like a spa visit.
New patients for routine cleanings are first asked to make an appointment to see Dr. Stocker, where an initial exam is performed, plus Xrays etc. Then a cleaning appointment is made subsequently with a hygienist. Frankly, this is responsible dental practice. Not the most convenient for the patient, but responsible nonetheless, and no last-minute surprises for the staff, which I respect. Everyone at the office is super nice and professional, including Rebecca at the front desk, and Jennifer, the assistant who checked me in at my initial appointment. Dr. Stocker was very professional and had a dry sense of humor. He doesn't push (doesn't even mention) for any unnecessary or optional treatments, such as brightening or Invisalign, like some other Austin practitioners I've visited. Per usual, I got admonished for not flossing, but Dr. Stocker did it in a kind way. I immediately went home afterward and flossed for the first time in years. I was asked if I would like to be placed on the cancel-list, which is a list of patients that they'll start calling if/when they get cancellations for the day. My original cleaning appointment was made for 8 weeks after the initial exam, but because I agreed to be on the cancel-list, I was able to be seen 2 business days after my initial visit. My hygienist, Summer, was great. Very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. She did a thorough job with my cleaning. I'll be back in 6 months to see her, maybe sooner if I fail my flossing assignment. The practice reminds me of my down-to-earth family dentist growing up, whom I've been with for 20 years until after college. I'm pretty sure I just found my new dentist in Austin.
Outstanding staff and Dr. Stocker is very knowledgeable and caring about what is best for his patients. I have been going here for a few years, then I moved to south Austin and tried a new dentist in south Austin. That new dentist suddenly discovered SIX new cavities that had to be fixed ASAP and gave me an outrageous quote. I went back to Dr. Stocker for a second opinion—he checked (free) and said I could go years without truly needing any fillings. If you want an honest dentist that truly cares, this is the place! Never any wait, staff is always friendly and always a great experience.
