Jeannie Moody and her husband Matt have taken very good care of me and my Invisalign. Their staff is friendly, prices are right, and bedside manner is excellent. I visited several orthodontist before deciding on Jeannie Moody. I'm so glad I visited her last. This is THE place to go for Invisalign.

I moved to Austin from out of state and needed to transfer to a new orthodontist. I had been doing orthodontics for 2 years already so I was hip to some of the lingo, comfortable discussing my concerns, and I was overall happy with my progress. When I came to my first consultation appointment I was required to pay a 300 transfer fee (shocking since a lot of orthodontists offer free consultations but I thought hey, she must be good). The office staff was very nice and super professional but Dr. Moody came into the consultation without reviewing any of my x-rays or patient history, glanced at me and my x-ray and then began to degrade my teeth and what my prior orthodontist had done. She actually said that I looked worse! Again, I would like to point out that I never mentioned being unhappy at all. She also told me that she gets to make all the calls for my jaw surgery, not me or the surgeon. Sorry, but no. I am paying for the surgeon and it's my face. I understand that an orthodontist has a role in collaborating with an oral surgeon but I just wanted her to hear me out about my concerns/preferences. I don't believe all smiles are the same and I genuinely like some of my imperfections. She continued to exclaim her expertise and how 'You don't tell me how to do my job.' What?! Because I may not want my entire skull ripped apart and put back together? All I ask is that you listen to what is important to the patient when it comes to their smile and try to have a civil, professional conversation with them about your recommendations. I felt like she only saw me as a mouth full of teeth to fix and not as a human being. Needless to say I opted to not proceed with treatment with Dr. Moody and found a much nicer professional to continue my orthodontics with.

I had a great experience at Moody Orthodontics for getting my braces. The staff was always kind to me when I came for my appointments. They always did a great job when fixing my broken brackets. They have been amazing with their support for me after my time wearing braces was done.

As a single mom, raising a kid in Austin can be financially tough. Moody set up a payment plan making it super affordable and explained every option in depth in our initial consultation. She started late October 2019 and the results just under a year and a half My daughter had struggled with her smile since middle school. (And kids can be so mean with teasing) Her dentist highly recommended Moody, and we haven’t been disappointed once! My daughter has made such amazing and fast progress. We anticipated a much more difficult road and the whole staff at Moody Orthodontics has definitely over delivered! We are thrilled and “shooketh” by her new smile. To Moody and her amazingly sweet and caring team- Thank you for helping Kylie gain her confidence back, she’s so happy with her smile!

Dr. Moody is good at selling herself and her business, however, if you question the methods to learn why she is choosing her particular strategy, she takes offense and becomes urked. She began treating our kids, who lost their retainers a few times, we paid in full every time to replace them. When trying to make an appointment for 3 of our children simultaneously, it was nearly impossible, we found it difficult to have to bring children on different days and to different offices across town. We simply asked to book back to back appointments at the Dripping Springs location for 3 children, 2 of whom had their treatments paid for upfront in full. This was not possible. Then she fired us as clients via email stating that we asked too many questions which she said made her feel untrusted and also said that our kids lost their devices too frequently. She offered no monetary refund and would not respond to emails or phone calls. We found this very odd. I should add that I have personally worked in an orthodontist office in the past, and have worked collaboratively well with our children's previous doctor prior to relocating here, all of this was very strange to me.
