Terrible customer service. I have left multiple messages and emails and have NEVER been called back. I have to call and call and call and finally get someone in the scheduling department. Was told after my last appointment that my clinicals would be sent immediately to my insurance to get my surgery approved. Called my insurance and they told me they received the paperwork a MONTH AND A HALF after my appointment!!!!!!!!! THEN, my surgery was DENIED because neither the doctor nor the PA bothered to call back the insurance for a peer-to-peer consultation (after they left multiple messages on their PERSONAL cell phones). If I wasn't so far down the road with multiple consultations and appointments with this place, I would ABSOLUTELY find another place to try to fix my problem.
I have been trying to get a surgery scheduled for months now. Want to speak with the surgery scheduler so you can get booked? Good luck! They don’t pick up - no matter the time of day and forget leaving a voicemail because then you’ll get a call back from someone who still can’t help but will once again try to transfer you to seemingly the only person that can schedule surgeries. I’m grateful for the few that tried to help but unfortunately they couldn’t do anything for me. Why have a scheduler if they can’t even get anything scheduled?
My experience at Orthopaedic Specialists has been positive (Guadalupe location). Dr. Ebert performed tendon repair surgery on my ankle and after 4 months the surgery appears to be successful! Dr. Ebert and his staff are caring and compassionate. His staff is available if needed between appointments. The office staff is efficient and I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes for my appointments.
I had a total right knee replacement in June 2019. I followed Dr. Heinrich's app to the letter. He stated if I felt I needed physical therapy then to go ahead and go for it. Well, 7 months later I am in physical therapy because my muscles did not develop correctly to work together. My hamstring, and glute muscles were non-existent in my right leg. Even the muscles and ligaments around my right hip were very weak. I was extremely disappointed that my muscle development was never mentioned, questioned or of concern. Only range of motion. Now I am trying to make up for lost time. When I went in to see the physical therapist she asked why was I here so late and told her about Dr. Heinrich's app and what he had said. She told me that she has never had a total knee replacement patient not have PT starting in week 1 or 2, let alone 7 months later. I am making progress 6 weeks later but it is difficult and very uncomfortable. Seeing a PT after knee replacement is a must and I wish I had been told that.
