I am confined to a nursing home now and unfortunately unable to visit this delightful shop. But the shop comes to me as the owners graciously pick up and deliver my projects. I appreciate it more than I can say. Merci, ladies!

Words are escaping me at the moment. I'm still rather shaken by the treatment I received by a staff member of The Elegant Needle. In order to not write the entire exchange, let it suffice that the Saleswoman, upon my looking at some yarns, directly told me "these are very expensive". And when I inquired about finishing a needlework project that I had, she again assured me that "that would be very expensive" and "we don't do finish work for just anyone". To be treated in this manner is unacceptable. I will continue my pilgrimages to The Quarter Stitch in the French Quarter from here on out. At least there, the staff members treat a newcomer with enthusiasm and welcome.

Wonderful! I fell in love with The Elegant Needle the moment I entered the shop. Catherine is so gracious and helpful as are those who work with her . I am looking forward to seeing the new location. For those who love needlepoint, this lovely shop can fill anything you need from needle threaders to beautiful threads and canvases . I hope to meet you there one day..
