No need to go in there, unless you want to be yelled at for coming into the store, because someone was already in there. We didn't see the 2nd person and had the clerk YELL at us, rather than politely telling us, to step back out side and wait. We would have. WE LEFT SO FAST. No need to YELL at your customers.

I was excited to check out the selection of awesome meats. I found the employee behind the counter a bit grumpy though. I would expect a more customer focused attitude in a shop like this. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised as the employee was not masked so probably doesn't care to much about public perception or health. Won't be returning, I should not have to ask you to put your mask on. Edit: Appreciate your response. I could have taken quiet-tude as rudeness, that may have been my fault. Regarding the mask, every business I've visited in Bellingham, every employee has had a mask on, regardless of having a counter in between or a small room or a large room, inside outside. Your business seems unique in its interpretation of the rules.

Carne consistently offers high quality, ethically raised and slaughtered meat. They also keep their business safe by enforcing strict social distancing (2 customers at a time) and masking. As a small, locally-owned shop, Carne may be low on particular cuts of meat - so calling ahead for large orders might be wise. You can also get local eggs and home-made sausages - including a spectacular hatch chili sausage.

Seriously amazing quality meats at very fair prices! We bought a few pre seasoned Rib Eyes that were second to none. Definitely recommend this place!
