Horseshoe Beach should change its name. There isn’t really any beach. Maybe Horseshoe Bay. There are no services like a restroom or a drinking fountain. However, There is a trash can near the parking lot. The good part of Horseshoe “Bay” is that the snorkeling is great on the far west side of the horseshoe. There were more fish than I had ever seen in other parts of the Keys. Carefully venture near the bushes and you will discover an amazing eco system. Bring a beach chair and an umbrella if you don’t get there early enough to get some tree space for shade. Also bring some water shoes or flip flops to protect your feet when you are getting into the water. In the end, I am happy I stopped by for the snorkeling experience.

Great place to snorkel and hangout! There’s actually a good bit to see here if you’re snorkeling on the left side of the Horshoe! When we went the water was a bit cold, so bring a wetsuit if you have one. We saw stingray and a bunch of fish. You might even be lucky enough to see bubble George

Amazing snorkeling spot! Thousands of species to see. We came across a massive stingray, a king crab, a barracuda, a small shark, 3 starfish, 2 clear jellyfish, 1 brown jellyfish, a couple sea cucumbers, many anemones, clams, endless sea urchins, and lots of different types of fish. Some of the fish that were easily visible include: sergeant major, porcupine fish, angel fish, royal gramma basslet, yellowtail snapper, cleaning goby, parrot fish, butterfly fish, etc.

Found this spot when Bahia was too crowded and they were enforcing social distancing rules (which is great). Lovely little beach with plenty of space to spread out. Great snorkel spot and we saw 2 dolphins. Would love to come back here with dogs and to go fishing.

Pretty cool spot for free Florida fun. Sort of unique too, given it's an old quarry used to build the Overseas Railroad on the bay side, it just lends itself to scuba and snorkling. Beautiful Keys gem here. Awesome sunsets, I bet too. There's some parking, not much. And gets pretty busy. There's also a short boardwalk that passes thru to the old Bahia bridge turnout.
