Bought four bikes for four of my children in the last two months. From the biggest to the smallest, the staff at Big Poppi took the time to talk with each of my kids, find out what they wanted. Most importantly, they took the time to fit and set up the bike (from seat height to "reach" on the brake levers) so my kids could operate the controls naturally. They love their bikes, and I'm ever so glad Big Poppi provided them. The bikes are good quality, but it's the service that keeps our family coming back.

My experience with this local bike shop has been awesome. I have brought our bikes here many times and have always received great service and learned many things from my visits. The staff personnel that I have dealt with namely Jeff, Alex, Bill, and Aaron are very knowledgeable and helped me out a lot from bike rack parts to tires and service. Thanks, you guys are great!! Keep protecting that store Jeff!

Awesome small business. The service you will get here is truly hard to find. Prices may be slightly higher than internet or corporate resources, but the value add makes up the difference. As far as bike service, I am sure I could start tinkering around and figure things out about my bike, but it would take a long time to get the level of expertise offered at Big Poppi, plus the specialized tools. Highly recommended.

I've recently purchased a bike and accessories from Big Poppi. The mountain bike is great, but the service is even better. Alex and Bill were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft. I've gotten to know these guys and definitely trust them with my repeated business, as well as recommend them to anyone else.

Very friendly and helpful. Every employee there is willing to help with whatever you need at any skill level. I highly recommend Big Poppi to anyone in Manhattan, especially KSU students like me. Their first year service plan on new bikes is an awesome deal, and the theft protection program has a lifetime guarantee and is very affordable. I plan on using the bike I bought from them for my entire college career and longer.

I took these folks an old bike that I paid exactly no dollars for and asked them to give it a once over, to make sure it was safe and all. They let me know it was rideable the way I brought it in, but that they could do a few things to make it a bit smoother. The technicians were friendly and explained the entire repair process to me. The process was quick and prices were quite reasonable. Big Poppi is a great local business and I'll go back for all my biking needs.

The customer service here is mediocre, and the repair service is bad. A bike I bought from them has persistent slow leak in the rear. They replaced the tube; it didn't stop. The tire goes completely flat in two weeks or less, whether I ride it or not. I usually bike once or twice per month for about a mile each time, so a flat every time I want to ride is really frustrating. They claimed this was "normal" -- that *every* tire goes flat that frequently, even though the front tire is fine and some trivial research shows that you should top off biweekly, not *completely refill*. When I asked if there was a better tube they could install, they said that all tubes were the same. When I told them it was very frustrating to constantly deal with a flat, they laughed at me. They brushed off my concerns and told me they wouldn't do anything to help. Their tone was condescending. They insulted both my riding style and my profession several times in a 10 minute conversation. I bought two new bikes from them, plus accessories and helmets, two years ago. They seemed pretty nice at the time, but since then all of my interactions with the staff have been very frustrating. I can't recommend this store to any casual rider.
