What a marvelous place! We stayed at Hideaway at High Rock for two weeks after Thanksgiving. It was magical. The cabin was well appointed and ideally situated for our family of four (plus a dog who now regards herself as something of a mountain lion). The kitchen is well supplied. The kids (four and eight) sledded down the back hill, stomped in the creek, hiked the trails, created an excellent mud/snow kitchen and even played small-field soccer in the grass behind the cabin. This was the perfect COVID hideaway with Black Mountain and Ashville conveniently close. Though we are flatlanders from Florida, we did not have any problems navigating the gravel road with our front-wheel drive minivan. For the day and a half it snowed, we simply planned ahead, stocked up and enjoyed the winter wonderland. The internet/WiFi was fast and reliable, which allowed us to stay current with work and school. Mike and his team and family were unfailingly responsive, helpful and kind. The most important review comes from our kids, who are begging to return next year.

Heaven on Earth! We stayed at Creekside and found the cabin and surroundings phenomenal. It had all the modern amenities. It was in Jan 2020 and cold - exactly like we wanted. ️ Indoor and outdoor fireplaces with unlimited and free firewood! I could write a short essay on all the great aspects of our accommodations, the courtesies of the owner, and surrounding environment. We have already booked a return stay (Longer) at The Hideaway Cabin located further downstream from Creekside. Exceptional and highly recommended! Can’t wait for our return visit in Oct 2020

You won't find ANYTHING like this in North Carolina! High Rock Rentals attention to detail far exceeds any other vacation home we have ever stayed at! Meticulously clean accommodations with every possible amenity you can think of! We are currently booking our second vacation in beautiful Black Mountain at The Hideaway Cabin! This cabin has 2 master suites, a game room, (pool table/ping pong), foosball table, a FULLY stocked kitchen, wrap around porch, situated on a flowing creek! There is a fireplace inside and there is a firepit outside that is fully stocked with firewood! Asheville and the quaint town of Black Mountain are both short, easy drives if you want to get out and explore. There are hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls nearby as well. The property managers are SUPER attentive and are available for any questions you may have! WE CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN!!

We stayed at the cabin called The Preserve and it was amazing. That place is equipped with all the necessary utensils, entertainment, and kitchen appliances. Loved loved loved the stay! Highly recommend!

Gorgeous Luxury Cabin with plenty of amenities near tranquil stream ! Hot Tub! Fireplace! Fire Pit! Jacuzzi Tub! Grill! Pool Table! Wrap around porch! Washer and Dryer! Comfy Beds. Not to mention the property manager was so freakin nice and super helpful! There were step by step instructions for everything and suggestions on what to explore. I mean we showed up to the place and there was a welcome the smell of pine and a bottle of wine there waiting!!!! The location was in black mountain was awesome too. A charming town 20 mins from Asheville. Totally worth every penny.
