Wish I could give a less than one star,my dad's wife was here and received less than standard care, she was allowed to lay in a urine soaked bed and her diaper had been changed for many hours upon arising in the morning.my dad had called many time for help.At one point he had spoke to Peggy about the strong odor of urine to only be met with discord,he finally removed his wife from this less than par facility.please do yourself and your loved ones a favor and seek better care. Oak Grove nursing and rehab has been great. Oak Grove Mo.

One star is 5 stars too many. They withhold care and refuse to provide essential services on a timely basis. They are perpetually understaffed and most of those who stay in their employ do not care about the residents. My family member was making progress until she was transferred there, but has gone down hill rapidly. Don't believeme? Go during feeding time. The food is slop. Residents wait forever for assistance, the staff physician argues with actual specialists in their field, and they appear to be attempting to commit financial fraud. If you care about someone, you won't allow them to be taken to Shangri La. If you know someone who is already there, get him or her out ASAP. This place should be shut down IMMEDIATELY.

For 7 years I have been through a lot of rehab facilities with my father. I moved him to Shangri-la after a particularly bad experience at another facility. They were close to my house and I figured I would at least be able to keep a better eye on things there. What I found has changed everything for me and my Dad. The staff there doesn't just take care of them. they treat them like family. They take the time to make them feel like they are there for them. They are available to talk to me about anytime I call or come by. They have my Dad up, dressed and out of his bed first thing in the morning. He stays up a lot more than he used to and is even discovering new things around there all the time. I moved him there for convenience...he staying because of the staff.
