This is the second time, the box arrived with no (repeat NO dry ice in it). I don’t mean it melted, I mean it was never put in the box in the first place. There was no rapper for dry eyes and predictably, the meets on top were thawed. Always been happy with the service and the quality until the past 2 months! This meat needs to be frozen when it arrives. I can’t eat 10 pounds of meat in two days. I’m not sure if they are trying to save money by not putting dry ice in anymore, or what is going on? When I called, I got somebody who was apparently reading a script, which did not include answering my question about why no dry ice anymore. It was such a good service. So sad.

We've received about 3 boxes so far and just cancelled our subscription based on the 3rd box. I figured, 3 boxes is a fair test of quality and assessment of the meat. I should have never signed up for this, or at least done my fair share of research. The quality of meat is horrible. 2 roasts now that were filled with fat and meat was super tough. I've had other roasts that weren't tough and fatty like these. Chicken wrappers come ripped open. We are not fans and we don't recommend Butcher Box. We found a local farm that we now will be getting our meat from. I don't like the fact that they outsource to Australia. I would rather stick with homegrown USA meat. God only knows what you get with \outsourcing\ meat from another country.
Always get the best quality products. I had gut issues and switched to organic only meats, but buying from the grocery store was a budget breaker for us. ButcherBox is better quality and better for our budget. They’ve given stellar service and everything arrives frozen, ready to put in the freezer.
My Guy made Butcher Box Ribs - St Louis Style and Baby Back - we brined them for a day and then slow cooked in the oven and finished grilled with homemade BBQ that was Keto friendly and vinegar based...I have to admit this has to be the best pork I’ve ever bought, smelled or tasted. We stopped buying pork from the grocery stores because it always smelled bad even though it wasn’t. Just like all the Butcher Box meat there isn’t any smell - which is a good thing! We will definitely be ordering these monthly! Same with the Butcher box thighs and drumsticks they’re huge and so fresh it’s unbelievable. Highly recommend this product and butcher! Their salmon is wonderful too - again no bad smells, very fresh and high quality.
