I booked a couple nights at The Upton for a staycation in a part of Boston that I missed, the South End. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and felt really well taken care of by Olivia, who sent preparatory emails as well as very thoughtful recommendations for food and activities when I asked. I felt that my stay was customized to me; a personalized note and gift met me when I arrived. The room was clean and beautiful, the contact-less key pickup/drop-off went really smoothly, and the building is in an incredible location. Everything on my list to do was in 5-15 minutes of walking distance. I will certainly recommend The Upton for weekend trips or short term stays, and I look forward to staying there again myself!

This place was beyond my expectations! I even extended my stay here! The apartment is located in the best location! It is located in a very clean and safe neighborhood with coffee shops, restaurants and shops on the street. It is walking distance to most anything I wanted to see or visit in Boston. There is even the blue bike (city bikes) stand on the street which is really convenient when I wanted to take a bike ride around the city or venture a little further away. The apartment and building itself is super charming, cute, well maintained and very clean. It is on a lively but not noisy street. I had cute views of a picturesque New England street from one window and a view of the John Handcock building and city skyline from the other window! Inside was everything I needed for a comfortable stay and a sound sleep! Laura and Olivia are very sweet and very helpful in answering any questions I had during my stay. Definitely would recommend and stay here again!!
The Upton sets the bar when it comes to professionalism, customer care, and overall quality. Our clients could not have been more satisfied with their stay and the attention to detail and obvious care that does into the operation and management of this property. Olivia was so helpful and responsive to my questions and requests in addition to the wealth of information already provided. A great location, value, and outstanding level of cleanliness. The Upton is a wonderful place to stay. Their apartments are beautiful and had everything we needed for our visit to Boston. Laura and Olivia really care about their guests and are quick to respond to any questions or requests. They go above and beyond! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a short or longer term stay. My partner and I stayed in two different apartments at The Upton twice over the course of two weeks when we were in town visiting family. The Tremont and the Upton apartments each had their own unique style and we enjoyed every moment in both apartments. The internet was reliable and fast for work and meetings. The location is ideal with amazing restaurants and cafes only a block or two away. Next time we are in Boston we will be staying at The Upton again. We've been in many airbnbs and short term rentals. The Upton is one of the best.
I stayed in a wonderful studio unit while visiting a friend for the week. The building was quiet and I loved waking up to natural sunlight and quaint views every morning. Olivia and Laura were very responsive and gave great area suggestions. Would recommend!
Laura and Olivia have done an amazing job at the Upton-they have preserved the vintage character while simultaneously creating welcoming and modern apartments. They were extremely professional, helpful, organized and the airbnb itself was gorgeous, spotless, and charming. I definitely reccomend the Upton and both hosts for your next trip to Boston. Location was also amazing and walking distance to many delicious restaurants and cute boutiques.
I stayed at The Upton while wanting a sweet escape during the pandemic and wow. This short term furnished rental was beyond my expectations. It was clean, followed great guidelines for Covid and the mother/daughter duo Laura and Olivia were the nicest hosts I've ever had. They provided me with amazing recommendations and had everything I needed to feel comfortable and at home. I already told them I will be booking another stay soon in the future. You truly feel like you're living in a dream staying there. If you want to escape to the nicest part of Boston, this is where to stay. The location of the Upton is perfect for exploring beautiful Boston cobble stone streets and amazing restaurants a minute walk away and as well as cute little markets and boutique shops. Can't wait to book my next stay!! :)
The Upton is the perfect place to stay for exploring Boston! I grew up right outside of Boston, but had never spent much time in the South End but after this stay it’s definitely my favorite neighborhood! Such a cute and cozy apartment located in a great neighborhood with lots of local bars/ restaurants to check out. Located only a few blocks to blue bikes which we used to explore the city. Laura and Olivia were fantastic hosts- very communicative, and gave us lots of great restaurant recommendations. The place was spotless, with masks & sanitizer ready to use. We will definitely be back!
