GREAT PLACE TO LIVE
like
I rented a furnished apartment from the Casitas at Morningstar for several months. I enjoyed everything about the experience. The agents were pleasant and experienced. Any time I had a problem they addressed it immediately, not that there were many problems. The gyms were both great as were the pools. Everything was kept clean and in good condition. The other residents were friendly and helpful also. I would recommend this apartment/condo complex to anyone looking for a great place to live.
My positive experience at the Casitas was due to the extraordinary and professional customer service by Erika, the great neighbors, and amenities that are offered. Erika, who manages the rentals at this facility, constantly goes above and beyond. She responds quickly and courteously. The neighbors at this community make you feel like family and the area is extremely safe. Lastly, you cannot beat having an indoor pool, sauna, and exercise facility within close proximity. I highly recommend this place.
If I was able to rate less I would. This is by far the WORST place I have ever rented from. I was never late on rent. Barely lived there for the year we leased and was charged over half of my deposit for minor damages that were PRESENT on the date I moved in. Never mind the calls for repairs that I needed that were not seen to in a timely manner. This would include several requests for the refrigerator, hot water heater, and dryer. All of these either stopped working or malfunctioned during the last 12 months. They have no regard for tenants or owners. The emails that are sent from the management office are border line rude and have little regard for tenants schedules. The absolute worst part is that our one year lease was up and they forced us out, but offered another apartment at an increased rate. I would definitely look around the Cruces area before considering this option. Do NOT consider this establishment as an "option" your money is better spent somewhere else I'm sure.
I’ve been living at Casitas At Morningstar for a little bit over a month and I’ve been running into some issues. The staff in the office is great and I love the unit that I’m in, but there’s been a few problems with the culture of the community. I’ve been hesitant about posting this, but these issues need to be brought to light. My boyfriend and I are young Hispanic individuals, and we have had a few run ins with discriminatory behaviors. To begin with, on April 20th we had family over to see our new apartment and decided that we would try to enjoy some of our leisure time at the pool. We were sitting by the pool talking amongst ourselves when we were approached by a resident claiming that he was a part of the HOA board basically telling us that we had no rights to the pool and that we were trespassing. He then told us that he was going to call the cops because we didn’t belong there. After that he started recording us without consent. We have every right to the amenities that every other resident has because we are paying residents. Our next run in took place on May 19th. My boyfriend, sister and I had just entered the pool area, and noticed a female resident instantly grab her phone and make a call. Five minutes later security walks up to ONLY us to verify our residency. I’m not one to pull the discrimination card, but all of these coincidences line up perfectly for the assumption to be placed. We abide by the rules, are polite, and for the most part quiet. It’s come to the point that I regret choosing to live here and don’t feel comfortable using the amenities that we were promised.
We stayed here for a month in one of the "corporate" (short-term, fully furnished) units while we were waiting to close on our new home. The condo was spotless and had everything we could need to be comfortable since our own household items were in transit. The move-in process was easy and the management accommodating. We especially enjoyed the heated indoor pool since the weather was starting to get cold. We would recommend the Casitas for others in transition.
Great place to live! Yard is well kept, pool is very clean and nice, and the gym is good too! The condos are really nice! Located in a great neighborhood and nice part of town!
I spent a year and a half there and it was the best place I lived in Las Cruces. Erika and the property management staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. My daughter and I loved both the indoor and outdoor pools for year round swimming and spent several evenings at one of the many public grills. They have pool monitors that help keep out non-residents and keep guests to the posted levels for weekdays and weekends which makes the experience for residents much more pleasant. At times I felt that some residents thought it should be a retirement or senior living facility but many residents including myself had children and gave it a much more family feeling. I would recommend The Casitas to anyone.
