It looks like this board is monitored regularly so I will post while my saga is still in progress. My dishwasher, which is under the DVD 5-year warranty, stopped working in mid-January. A technician came out on January 28 and concluded that the problem was a dirty drain. He charged me the 59 visit fee (not a warranty issue) and told me to run cleaner through it a few times and call him directly if the problem wasn't resolved. I did as instructed and the problem definitely wasn't resolved so I called him back. He apologized, said the problem was likely the motor and that he would order it (2-5 business days) and refund the visit fee. After more than 5 business days and no response from the technician (despite multiple texts), I called the office. They had no record of the part being ordered and seemed to be unable to even contact the technician. Another technician came out on February 17 and immediately diagnosed the problem as a broken wash motor. Now (February 25) the part is at DVD but the earliest they can install it is March 10. The scheduler was courteous but unable to find any way to get the repair done sooner. I realize that there are finite resources, but it just seems that DVD would be willing to shuffle their schedule to accommodate a long delay that was largely their responsibility. Except for the first technician, everyone at DVD has been helpful, it just seems like they are locked into a busy service schedule that can't be adjusted for unusual circumstance. Update: We now have the service scheduled for March 1. I appreciate the proactive effort to address the concern.

We needed to order a Whirlpool compact washer for our motorhome. Anyone that has had to replace a washer or drying in a Class A RV knows it isn't impossible but can be darn hard getting it up through the door and then to where it will be installed. Then there are the tight quarters for where it will remain. The sales staff listened to my concerns and in the process of setting up the delivery they paid attention when I said this was a 2 man job. Delivery and installation included 5 steps down to get the old washer out and 5 up into the RV with the new one. Once they got to the top of the steps they had a hard left turn to avoid damaging anything around the dash and lifting it above the co-pilot's seat. Then carrying the washer to the back of our 44' motorhome, over a bed and to the closet. BTW...I did some pre-delivery prep. I removed the screen door to give them a little over 27\ of clearance for a 24\ wide washer. I also removed the doors to the closet they washer would go into. Delivery was done on schedule. The 2 man crew arrived to our campground site and got right to work. First they were careful removing the broken washer and were just as careful bringing in the new one. The installers ran through some basic checks to verify the unit was working. All this was done in about 45 minutes. It should be noted that there are appliance stores that will not deliver a washer or dryer into an RV. When we considered replacing the washer while in Yuma, AZ this winter there wasn't a dealer that would do it. Keep in mind that Yuma is a major snowbird location with thousands of RVs that visit. Hats off to Dick Van Dyke Appliance World for taking the challenge and doing a great job!

I would give them zero stars if I could. We were misled initially by the salesperson about features of the washer we bought, which we didn't discover until after the 30 day return window. Of course, all they can give is an apology at that point, even though they admitted responsibility. Also, the installer didn't tighten the drain hose properly, causing our utility room to flood on the very first use! They asked us to fix their mistake, which we refused. Finally took calling their emergency number to have them out to fix it. Then, the detergent dispenser got clogged up because we were using it the way we were told we could by everyone at DVD. Turns out that wasn't the case. Yet, the tech was incredibly rude to my wife and management was a joke when we asked for a solution. We will never shop there again. Terrible customer service, dishonest people, and a poor product. SHOP ELSEWHERE!

We wanted to purchase appliances locally, instead of a big box store. Went to DVD and we were helped quickly by Mike R. He was easy to work with & explained all the appliances to us. We would highly recommend purchasing appliances from DVD! Thank you Mike R. & DVD for making our first major appliance purchase an easy one!

They do sell appliances but they cannot repair them. Waited two weeks for a tech to come look at our still under warranty electric dryer. Waited two more weeks for a part to come in, which was then installed backwards so the cover plate that protects people from 220V would not fit over it. Their all day window of waiting for a tech to come out to fix their initial incompetence wasn’t working for me so I called Mr Appliance who fixed it in about 15 minutes. I will never order anything from this overpriced joke of a store. Save your money. Go to a big box store.
