This is one of the most consistently excellent restaurants in the area. It frequently wins awards for best Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. The food is delicious and healthy, and after all it's the Mediterranean diet, which is one of the best ways to eat for your health. There are over 70 freshly-cooked items on display in the beautiful glass deli case. You can pick whatever appeals to you from there or order off of the extensive menu. The quality and variety are incredible. I have been eating there for well over 20 years. It has been great the whole time. The dining room has often felt like a wonderful cross-section of all of the Chapel Hill community. It has a warm cozy atmosphere, and has been a great gathering place. There is also a market attached to the Deli. You can buy items to make meals there, and it has great local food like Maple View milk. During this very difficult time of the pandemic, the owner has kept almost all of his employees on, one of the only restaurants around to do this. They also frequently have charitable benefits for worthy social causes. It's just a place you want to support, and the delicious food makes it easy to do so.

Lots and lots of food that I wish I could have tasted but the 15 people that were working there decided to ignore me and I was the only one in the place. I stood in front of the cash register for a good two minutes before anybody acknowledged me! I guess I’m invisible. She said they were busy, evidently too busy for me I’m just a consumer. Never again will I step foot in there.

What an astonishing place full of life, tastes, and choices. An improbable and delightful array of delicious mains, sides, and deserts. A friendly, busy, bustling air of orders and people taking numbers to tables, filling drinks, finding tables, and meeting friends. Casual dining environment but surprisingly quick table service. Well regarded owner known for charity and peace. Hopping vibe, scrumptious variety of plates and options, rich sweet treats. Well known by locals and popular with students. Many regular customers. Try something new each time.

U will never find another Mediterranean Restaurant like this. It’s food is prepared with a very genuine love that not only will save your life because of it’s healthy recipes but will also have you coming back for more. With some of the best chiefs in the world. I will eat At the Med for ever there’s nothing like it.

Great fresh food that moves quickly and steadily restocked from the busy kitchen! Watch your fresh pita baking at the bakery while you wait for your order, or simply shop for fresh produce, beans and grains at the attached market. After your meal, don't forget to pick up fresh baklava and an espresso. Servings are generous, so be ready to take home leftovers. This place is great for family or a fun date!
