Loved staying at En Root House. Lizzy and Cody are incredibly friendly, helpful, generous hosts. They go to great lengths to make you feel at home. The house is warm and inviting, filled with books and cozy shared spaces. It's also spotlessly clean. The way the bunks are set up definitely gives you a sense of privacy. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Chattanooga and my next stay at En Root House!
Great hostel. Mixture of older house with updated items. Bunk beds have thoughtful accessories (curtains, individual fans and lights). Rented out the whole space with a group of friends for the Chattanooga Marathon. Rates were reasonable for a full retail. Kitchen and dining table was a great social space. Loved the vinyl connection.
Lizzy and Cody have created a very welcoming environment for the solo traveler. I felt right at home the second I walked in the door. There is a sense of community with both the current guests and stories of the prior visitors - the energy is really neat here. As far as amenities, I stayed in the dorms. I felt I had all of the privacy I needed and plenty of storage. There were two very clean full bathrooms, and the kitchen/dining room was a treat - very spacious and well - equipped. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
En Root House in Chattanooga is awesome. The house is beautiful, spotless clean, beds and rooms are the most comfortable I've ever stayed in in a hostel (and I've stayed in a few over the years!). There is also a very nice, very large communal kitchen and living area which is superbly kitted out. By far the best bit are the staff though. Lizzie and Cody are just lovely - I was on my own and they showed be the best of Chattanooga, the place and the people. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

This was my first experience with an Airbnb, and I could not have asked for better place to stay. the house was very comfortable and well decorated. The owners were very professional yet relaxed and took care of everything for I had arrived. I will definitely be staying there again if I need an overnight stay in the area.
It's where magic happen. I had a one-day stay here and the owners were really friendly! They told us about their experiences and motivation in building this hostel. There is really nothing much to say about this, it is far cleaner and peaceful than all the hostel and airbnbs that I have stayed so far. I met some really great friends there and I would say it is hands down my best experience so far in America. Thank you En Root for the amazing experience!
