This place has amazing chicken specially the grilled and Dipped buttermilk its sooo tasty and the french fries are sooo fresh, plantains are the Besttttt. They also make their own sauce alled "chick-chix sauce" imprrssed. Everything is cleaned plus the bathroom. The customer service is so good they smile and friendly...
2nd visit besides the fact that they put very little meat in the sandwich I almost lost some teeth in BBQ sandwich. Coleslaw didn't seem fresh, sauces left from day before. Needless to say, that was my last visit.
Place is good the food is good. people there are very nice especially linage. Really tries to help customers. However the the condition of the condiment bar not so nice. The sauces are great great. The condiment system instead of pumping or handing out the sauce. You will find for reason other peiecs of food in it. And lots of it! I go in at night time mostly. They struggle at night or late afternoon having enough chickens and sauce, not allot of space at the condiment bar. the garbage system is not looking good either. Need to pay attention to the details! The food is good and the people are nice and prices are good. I've never had anything taste bad as in other reviews. If they didn't have the good service people, not sure about how often I would go back. Place has great potential. Good luck guys!
I had an amazing experience at Chick Chix. When I first walked into the restaurant, the smell was unbelievably good. The service was very good and quick. I had a whole chicken with four sides: black beans, fried plantains, veggies and white rice. The chicken was very tender and the seasoning was just perfect. They got some sauces that you can pick after you receive the order, I tried the special sauce and it was also very good. I really recommend it!
Stopped in to grab a grilled chicken sandwich and fries, which was great....as I sat there and read the menu, I was excited to try some other items on the menu, at a later time, because I am new to the area and looking for great food near me. I was actually excited at my find! Went back for supper, and got the 1/2 rotisserie chicken and white beans and rice and left. When I got home the black beans were sour, so I called, and then walked back to get better something...????? She apologized and gave me coleslaw, a nice big salad, a large helping of mixed vegetables and a bottled water. So I thought great, this was gonna be better. When I finally got home to eat, the mixed vegetables smelled sour too, so they went in the trash. The coleslaw was good, but the rotisserie chicken is fatty, and the white rice had gummy hard clumps in it. Skipped the salad ,so its in the fridge. Not really happy with this place after all.
On vacation from NJ. I sent my adult son to buy some chicken at at this place because it had good reviews. It cost like 10 for 10 wing pieces that were tiny & extremely dry & over fried. Tasted like the wings were sitting a day or two or fried several times. No flavor, so we had to drench them in bbq sauce to make them tolerable enough to eat. Wish I could post a picture with my review because this is really something to you have to see for yourself.
I saw this restaurant on Deco Drive and the food looked fresh and very appetizing. As I walk in the restaurant it was empty and the food was prepared by the cashier which was not the chef as it seemed to be on tv... also the cashier was also the waitress as well. I watched her handle money and never wash her hands. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with white rice and black beans and the food was cold!!! The Mac and cheese was not good either which was also cold. My kids French fries were super hard as if they were old and had been placed in hot oil again, the vegetables were hard cold and crunchy. My son did not eat any of his 1/4 chicken due to the food was really cold!!! I’m very disappointed due to Deco Drive showed a chef preparing the food cooked to order when everything that I ordered was already pre cooked and sitting under a heated lamp which that means it’s not fresh and cooked to order. I spent 38 for cold food, unfortunately I will never eat here again!
