December 5, 2020 i received confirmation from the Consulate General, by the way, very highly paid position of the Greek Government , to go today and apply for my Greek passport. The office did not have any problems emailing me the confirmation. My appointment was for today at 12:30 pm. I drove from Orange County, got to the office to be told : due to COVID-19 the office is closed . The young man there informed me of an email sent to all ... Now my question to this very highly paid Consulate, is this a way to service your Greek community? Your office never had a good reputation here or in Greece regarding your service to our community. As a Greek citizen I do expect to be served or to be notified in a timely manner by you.

Needed specific information during the covid 19 lockdowns and sent an email. The consulate people responded immediately to what ended being several email exchanges providing all the requested information. I am very impressed and verified what friends have told me about the Consulate in LA. Keep up the great service!

After corresponding for several months with this office, obtaining the requested documents, traveling close to 400 miles, I was totally disappointed. This was due to the office’s lack of candidness on my “discrepancy”. I e-mailed all requested documents weeks in advance only to be told when I was in the office, that there was nothing they can do. The offices in Greece would have to be contacted for this. During our meeting, I was talked to in a rude, condescending manner and even lectured to. Help, assistance and guidance is what we seek from this office, not a tongue lashing on how things should be done.

We travelled 7 hours driving , only to show up and be told that my documents cannot be signed due to minor discrepancy. I was not informed , I was yelled at , in a condescending tone , in front other people. Their attitude is non professional , be ready to get yelled at, belittled, insulted and lectured too. It is an embarrassment for anybody to be treated this way.
