Their visa hotline will never reach. Doubt they ever listen to the voice mail. You email them for more information they refuse to email back and insist on you calling. A catch-22! They seem to be afraid of having a written record of the information exchanged. Very hard to communicate thru. If you can go to other Japanese embassies please don’t go to this one

The most atrocious service I have ever received to date. While I understand that covid-19 has caused for many disruptions in services provided, with much chagrin I must submit that I encountered the rudest people who don't listen, interrupt and seemed to have blamed others for their shirk of responsibility and failure to provide concise information and details. If I could give less than one star i would and I regret that my state has to be in this consulate's jurisdiction (Atlanta).

As a frequent traveler, I deal with consulates every month! This Japan Consulate is the best visa office in the USA so far, professional, fast, friendly and kindly polite. I mailed in my visa app and received my visa as promised. The communication with the visa officer via email was quick as a wink!!!
