My father-in-law, LtCol Hiller, was stationed in pre-communist China and collected a considerable quantity of quality Asian art, which his daughter and subsequently his grandchildren (my children) inherited, but did want. California Estate Sales and Auction Company's owner had Asian market knowledge and connections, was supported by an efficient and professional staff, and all items were sold for top dollar. Catherine and Company run a very professional and impressive business. Their estate sales are well staffed and very organized. I know how hard it is to do estate sales and how difficult it is to please everyone, so I give Catherine a lot of credit. A class act!

Worst experience ever! I had to tag my own items, bring buyers to my home, bring my items up from my garage. I was not given any information as to what was sold and for what price. As the ad states the items that did not sell would be liquidated by Catherine. I am still looking at my items with tags on them! They just left. My home was left in complete disarray, carpets and hard wood flooring filthy. Nothing that was brought up from garage was put back. When I followed up I was informed who to call to liquidate my items. Staff was late, or didn't show up at all. Was text by Catherine's \general manager in training\, asking me what kind of drugs I was taking! Extremely rude and unprofessional. I had my personal belongings stolen! I am not a disgruntled client ... Simply sharing my experience.

We were very impressed with Calif Estate Sales and Auctions. We had some very special collectible items we needed to liquidate in addition to our parents 5 bedroom home and Catherine got us top dollar for the collectibles separate from the estate sale. We were thrilled and we didn't have to do anything, she did all the research and leg work. The staff is excellent and very organized. We had a lot of antiques and art and they knew the values which gave us even more confidence in the process. The staff was careful and knowledgeable and we were especially impressed how respectful everyone was of our parents home and furnishings. Using a firm with a lot of experience is a must. I could not image what would have been if we had used someone with lesser experience.
