I flew from from Philly to Dallas to see Dr. Buford for BMC injections as he came to me highly recommended by an orthopedic surgeon local to me. The whole procedure from start to finish was smooth, and Dr Buford patiently answered all of my many questions. I very much appreciate his minimalistic approach in that he recommends the least invasive options for treating injuries. And the price/invasiveness of his recommendation was far, far less than a quote/recommendation I received elsewhere. The office team, specifically Sara and Heather as I spoke with them the most, were also great. I would definitely recommend Dr. Buford to others! It was worth the trip from Philly.

I traveled from NYC to Dallas to see Dr. Buford after prolonged knee pain from tearing my MCL and meniscus despite going to PT for a few months, I just never regained full range of motion and was often in pain. I was referred to Dr. Buford's practice because he uses the latest minimally invasive technology. After my consult he recommended treatment with PRP. As a person who is terrified by needles, I was extremely nervous going into the procedure but Dr. B and the staff were super supportive the entire time, even holding my hand along the way. I thought that it was pretty cool that he used a device that had an ultrasonic camera within the needle so he could make sure it was injected in the right place, I believe it was called a mi-eye? I honestly don't know what I would have done if I didn't get this done. Although it was a long trip to see Dr. Buford, I was able to get back on a plane to NY that same evening and didn't feel any pain walking through the airport. I'm about three weeks out and my recovery has been tremendous - haven't even missed work.
I feel very much improved with the PRP of my knees, I would say 80%. Definitely a great improvement in day to day living. I have no night pain or pain at rest. I am a full - time physician, able to work with little discomfort. Dr Buford is an excellent physician and a gentleman!
From the beginning the staff was very helpful and patient. They understood I was in pain and did all they could to accomodate me. I was extremely inpressed with Dr. Buford. He took the time to calmly and throughly explain each of my options and what each would involve. I felt so much more relaxed and confident about moving forward. Then we did my first K Laser treatment for my lower lumbar. In about 30 min, I could feel a little relief. In 2 hours, I was walking almost normal with no excruciating pain. Right now, I am laying in bed after a week of fear and tears, able to get up and roll onto my side with no pain whatsoever. We have the PRP therapy Tuesday and I am extremely excited about what's to come. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dr. Buford. You don't understand how much peace you have brought me.
He did a great job on my knee with stem cells. His only down fall is you cannot reach his office by phone , you get a machine and they rarely call you back. My insurance says if he would just send in his notes on why this was needed that they will pay for the procedure, problem is he will not send in the notes nor return my call.
