I have worked closely with the team over at The Villages. They have helped a few of our residents and families at our community when they need a care that we aren't able to provide. From top to bottom the staff is very professional and take great care of their patients and residents. Their COVID response has been great as well! I highly recommend this building and if I had family that lived in this area that needed the care they provide I would pick Villages.

My dad has been here for about 3 months. He loves it. Staff take good care of him and food is great. So glad I moved him there from another place he hated. Highly recommend
My son is currently living at Villages of Lake Highlands. I am in the medical field and have seen so many assisting living communities. This place is far above all the others I have seen. When my son needs something, they are right there right away. They genuinely care for their residents. The staff makes sure every holiday, birthday or any celebration is observed which is a great way to show them every day counts. The cleanliness, the nursing care and the kindness of this staff is unlike any other I have seen. I am so happy to have my son in a facility where they care so much for him. During Covid this location has seen 0 cases. They shut down the visitation before the government required so that they could protect the residents. This is the high standard they have that has kept my son safe.
The Villages has an amazing team and enjoy seeing their annual Alzheimer event! When you walk in the doors you are kindly greeted and offered a beverage while they search for the person you are looking for. Its a very welcoming place and always is clean and well maintained. Would recommend to anyone that needs a higher level care of physical therapy.
I would not recommend this place for your loved ones. We had various issues from day one including a fall. Nurses are randomly available and take long to come when you request assistance. Either they are not at their post or they have too many patients per nurse as it's hard to get a hold of them. Once discharged they are very negative about giving you any assistance. Once you are out the door you are no longer their concern. Sad thing is we toured a couple of places and this seemed to be the best. Place is nice and clean but I cannot say the same about their service and care. It feels like a ghost town at times and many times patients are just out sitting in the hallway. The rehab team was great but as far as daily nursing care i can't say the same. There were some nice nurses but some of the ones we were entrusted to did not even checkup on us especially at night time. Do your research before you trust them with your loved one.
