We found ourselves here last January for the Monet: The Truth of Art exhibit. The exhibit was, of course, phenomenal. The museum itself is a work of art in its architecture. They carefully craft the layout of their exhibits so that, even if it's crowded, it's easy to maneuver around and see the art. They also had a fun area for children to get hands-on with artistic expression. Another important thing - the bathrooms were very clean!

I was last here a few years ago when my boyfriend and I decided the perfect Valentine’s Day date for us would be seeing their most recent exhibit- Star Wars costumes from all of the movies. It was perfect because he likes Star Wars while I didn’t grow up watching it so I don’t care for it, but I do appreciate intricate outfits, so I actually found the whole exhibit super fascinating! Ever since then I’ve been meaning to come back here, as this museum seems to always have some kind of fascinating exhibit going on, but I have yet to make it back! Hopefully this year I’ll be able to do so, as this really is a great museum!

How do you rate a Museum? You only go to museum to see what it is you wanted to see. It's upon entering the museum that you discover the magic that happens within and it's all those things that you did not expect to come into your range of view and that's when you realize the museum isn't just there because you want to see a piece of art. The museum is there for you to go on an escape just like a walkthrough book. I really liked the Denver Museum had a great time and I will go back again.

We visited the museum last year and spent hours enjoying the fantastic art collections, having lunch at Palettes, and being enriched by what we experienced. There is so much to see and do. What stood out for me are the western art collections- the traditional older art like the Remington's and Russel's and the contemporary art. The collection of Spanish Colonial art is inspiring. European masters are well represented and the contemporary collections in the new building are not be missed. There are portions of each floor set apart for learning and digging deeper into the collections and eras represented, with books, videos, magazines and all sorts of other modes of discovery. One can easily spend a few days here.
