Update: My account is closed and yet they feel the need to continue texting me. The 'original' DFW Alarm never texted me unless I initiated contact. They also decided to give me a new name. How very secure. Whatever this company was/is, stay AWAY. Be advised that DFW Alarm has sold out to a national company called My Alarm Center based in Pennsylvania. Their 'local' phone number is in fact not local. When I began my service with DFW Alarm in 2008, this was an excellent local company based in Flower Mound which was quick to respond to any request or issue. I had to both call and email My Alarm Center twice to get them to acknowledge my existence and my cancellation. DFW Alarm is no longer a small local company and in fact is no longer operational as far as I can tell. Buyer beware of the classic bait and switch.

This company came highly recommended & for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. I have called numerous times to get service to my home, only to be told either an employee was on vacation, or they were waiting for me to give them information. I gave them everything I knew of the system, feom Day 1. After 2 weeks of fumbling, bumbling around, the inept front office employee told me they could not help me. I am closing on my home and need my system up & running, they knew this and yet had no concern for my time restraints. Awful company, not sure how they are in busines.
Their numbers listed on our contract and invoice emails leads to other alarm companies that have no record of our account. Really unusual business practices.
I had service with DFW Alarms for over a decade. The service has been good and the price competitive. While I cannot say I like the process one needs to completely to stop service, I understand after speaking with the owner. Just be sure you read the terms and conditions as it is not just a call and cancel process. If you want good service with one of the best prices, then I recommend.
Just like other reviewers said, they make it super difficult to cancel the service. Even though I called and emailed a request to cancel BEFORE the quarter started, payment was promptly processed - they insist on FAX, and charged for the next quarter never-the-less, and refused to issue refunds. This is certainly not customer friendly, and thus would not recommend to others.
Our family has used DFW Alarm for 14 years at 3 different houses and have been extremely pleased with the service we have received. Great alarm and security company that DOES NOT tie you into complicated and costly contracts. We are moving to Houston and unfortunately are not able to bring DFW Alarm with us. We would if we could. Thank you DFW Alarm!
I was a customer until I found out that they were not monitoring my home and they even bother to let me know. They are not worth the money. Do not use them. Do your research and find a company with better reputation.
