Dixie South is truly an amazing place to stay. Its location just south of the campus places it within easy walking distance of every building on campus. Furthermore, the management places roommates based on a small survey given upon application, so your roommates are truly tailored to you. The rent was affordable, but the quality of my experience there was much better than I would’ve expected from the price. Fall semester 2020 was a rough one, especially after the massive flooding the first Sunday of the semester, but Dixie South’s incredible managers came through again and again. A few small plumbing problems were no match for them and were even fixed within a day. Because of the incredible management, awesome roommate placement, and cost-friendly price point, Dixie South is easily the best student housing option for Dixie State students.

I’m the manager have been since 2010 so my 5 stars is biased I realize! We love our place and care about all the tenants that have come and went! We are proud of the reputation we have gained over the years and only hope to be able to keep it up. For any passerby’s we hope you come check us out or give us a call and let us be your home away from home while in school.

My experience at Dixie South was great. Nicole was very helpful and accommodating! My living situation was so last minute but she helped me with everything I needed so that I could have a place to stay for the summer. She made sure I was taken care of and that everything in the apartment was clean and ready when I moved in. My roommates were the best and so nice. Whenever we needed anything, she was always there or we could text her and she would reply quickly. Everything is already furnished and I loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. If you need somewhere to stay and an awesome landlord, I would definitely recommend living here!

Edited: We had both a son and a daughter in separate apartments here for over a year. The good: Manager was always very responsive to parents emails. It is definitely close to campus. There are washer & dryers in each unit. Many apartments have a mix of shared and private rooms (some complexes put all the private room people together which can make it much less social.) Disadvantages: We felt the prices were a bit high when the only amenity is the washer/dryer. Note that the fridges in many units are small for 5-6 roommates (some students buy their own mini fridges for their rooms or we've heard you can request a unit with a larger fridge.) Maintenance communication issues--I'm hopeful this will improve. A police incident happened in the complex in the Spring 2020 with a trespasser in the complex at night--management of course has no control over this. But I think management should have updated or warned residents and reminded them to be vigilant keep doors locked and not be alone at night--instead of the rumors to just getting passed around the complex. Check out procedure is annoying. Instead of assigning specific roommates to specific tasks they leave it up to the roommates to battle it out. Both our children had issues each round of check out with roommates who up and left all the cleaning to the rest of the roommates who scrambled to then to all the cleaning for fear of loosing their deposit. I am hopeful that this also will be resolved--I have since heard from the manager who explained you can specifically request a separate check out sheet--though how my children were to know that before now I have no idea. Overall, for us, it was not a great experience.

My experience at Dixie South has been overwhelmingly good. I moved here two years ago and have been here ever since. I love the apartments. They all have full kitchens as well as washers and dryers which made life so much easier. One reason I chose to move to Dixie South was because I heard Nicole was a great manager, and she is! She always makes sure we are happy and safe. Nicole also puts so much work into picking which roommates will go together so that you're paired with roommates you have things in common with. My experience with roommates here had been so good. I've become great friends with the people I've lived with in the past couple of years. Overall Dixie South is a super chill environment and I would highly recommend living here.
