Bette was amazing! She’s knowledgeable, generous with her time and expertise and made covid shopping a breeze. I moved here recently and had a Christmas stocking canvas but no thread. She made wonderful suggestions, brought thread out to me and was patient with me. She’s my go to needlepoint person. Superb!

Was so excited to find this lovely shop while vacationing in Asbury Park. I've been needlepointing for more than 30 years and always seek out stores when traveling. Stitching Pretty didn't disappoint! The owner, Bette is just a delight, so helpful, gracious, and knowledgeable. Lovely range of canvases, threads and accessories. I purchased two canvases and will definitely make the drive from NYC to have Bette arrange for the finishing. Look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you, Bette!
I have been needlepointing for more than 30 years and I found Stitching Pretty when it first opened. The owner Bette is wonderful. She is professional, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable about stitches, canvas designers and finishes. I have been back to her shop numerous times and she is always helpful and excited to see how my work is progressing. Bette’s customer service exceeds expectations and I am so happy to be a customer of hers. I have recommended her to a good friend and we always look forward to our visit with Bette and see the new canvases and hear about new ways to finish our pieces. Having first visited Stitching Pretty as a novice stitcher, I was amazed by not only the vast array of canvases and project pieces but also the level of personalized service! The store is beautiful (I tell people to stop by just to see all the displays...it is truly like a mini museum) and very well stocked. Bette is always willing to generously share her knowledge and expertise and her patience is seemingly endless! If you're seeking the best full-service needlepoint store, look no further. Stitching Pretty is, hands down, one of the best businesses you'll ever step foot into!
About a year ago I went to Stitching Pretty with a friend of mine who has been doing needlepoint for 30 years. Since then I’ve learned how to needlepoint and I’ve been back to Bette’s store many times. She is very passionate about needlepoint and spends time helping us with canvases and threads. My friend has had numerous canvases framed and made into pillows. They are beautiful and she is very happy with the quality of workmanship. I recently completed my first canvas and I took it to Bette to have it made into a pillow. I just was notified that it is in and I can’t wait to go pick it up! I always enjoy going to Stitching Pretty and talking with the other customers and sharing needlepoint ideas. There’s always new canvases to choose from and lots of beautiful threads!

I have so many good things to say about Stitching Pretty! From the minute my daughter and I walked into the store we were treated like royalty! Bette had to accommodate us as we couldn't get there at a regular time. She was VERY patient with us and so very friendly! She instantly became a good friend to both of us! As far as the work and products she has, there is nobody better! We chose a Koracha (Tefillin Bag) and she was so great at showing us how to do the special stitches. Came out beautiful! To top off everything, I had a time crunch to finish my piece and Bette was so amazing that she finished it for me. Love her!!
