Honesty and straight talk! Another chimney company looked at my two chimneys and told me that I needed to spend 6,000 for significant chimney repair work to include power washing, crack filling and crown work. Fortunately, a friend recommended that I have Tony Beuchert at Chesapeake Chimney Cleaners review the recommendations and costs. I contacted Tony who graciously offered to look at the pictures (chimney pictures) and the other vendor's recommendation. Tony offered his help freely. He analyzed the documents and then talked to us for over an hour patiently explaining chimney architecture in easy to understand concepts. He told us what work was reasonable and what was unnecessary fluff. We took Tony's advice and reduced the cost to 2,000. I recommend Tony to anyone needing a chimney sweep.
