I have a cat and have been taking her to this vet for about 3 yrs. I know this place was highly recommended when I became a first time pet owner but I think I finally have developed my own opinion. Unfortunately every experience I’ve had here has made me feel like they don’t genuinely care about my cat, maybe they are different with dogs? But every time I’ve ever called to ask questions/recommendations they tell me I need to walk in, when I do they aren’t welcoming, ever, and when we do get to see the vet its transactional never personal. My cat got fleas for the first time this past year and as a first time pet owner I just took her to the vet because I don’t know what the best treatments were or what I should do to maintain she doesn’t get them again. They offered the flea treatment and sent me on my way but soon after she got worms I called another place that worked better with my work schedule and they told me it’s common after a pet gets fleas they could get worms. It was disappointing that when I asked the vet tech (because I wasn’t given the option to talk to anyone else) during her visit if I should watch out for anything else they didn’t mention anything of the sort. Due to COVID I could not actually be in there during her visit but there was no opportunity to even talk/meet/see a vet! Ultimately my experience here as left me feeling that I don’t trust their service. I hope I have better luck another place where I feel like my cat is just as important to them as she is to me.

They are amazing! Friday my daughters service, therapy and support baby was diagnosed with Parvovirus. Were unsure of how he got it, since he was fully vaccinated. The have seen many times. They are also covering his expenses and allowed me to visit with him today! They keep me posted daily on what's happening. I get a phone call every morning and every night. They are doing everything they can to save OUR boy. He is a huge part of our entire families life, along with neighbors. I moved here from Virginia Fall 2019 and have been seeing him since. He, his wife and staff are amazing. Our whole family hates being away from him, but we know it's just a matter of time before he comes home. They are a very clean office and once again, they are AMAZING who truly love animals.

I just wanted to commend this clinic and their staff for their professionalism and courtesy. Although there is a wait time due to it being a walk in clinic, I was seen quickly. Dr. Lucas Hinojosa and his staff were friendly and took their time answering my questions and concerns. They do get busy, but despite that, they are very well organized and friendly. The prices were very reasonable for my visit. I am very happy with their services and would definitely recommend!

Showed as a walk in day before Christmas Eve, & took 4 hours which is completely understandable since everyone there was a walk in as well. Visit & medication was reasonably priced. I especially loved that covid measures were enforced. The whole atmosphere projected from the staff was the cherry on top. They make everyone feel like family, & run things quickly & efficiently. The next time my pet needs another visit, or a friend needs a vet, I'll send 'em this way. Bonus: free pet toys were available per family upon entrance! It was very sweet to provide a holiday gift to the animals ️

I have been taking all my animals to Edinburg McAllen Vet Clinic for the past 17 years. But most recently, I’ve had to take my older basset hound, Roscoe, more than I’d like. But each time I am greeted with kindness and care. Both Dr Lucas Hinojosa and Dr Daniel Hinojosa are gems of our community. I am so grateful for both of them, for taking their time and using their wisdom to help me with my fur babies. Today, I took my sweet Roscoe in because I noticed a growth.and Dr. Daniel Hinojosa knew exactly what needed to be done and moved forward with treating Roscoe appropriately. I’m so grateful for everyone there. Their prices are fair and their attention to detail is superb. I can’t thank them enough!
