Empire does not care about their residents. Last year I had someone break into my apartment, and broke our TV and my bathroom door (which is yet to be fixed). This year our dryer broke, and was not fixed for 6 months. On top of all this, they refuse to open the amenities to regular hours, which would comply with the states large gathering guidelines as of today. They cut costs at all times, and make up for it by giving out snacks.

I have been a resident of Empire Columbia for almost six months now and I have never been treated so poorly. To start off, when we (myself and roommates) moved in the first week of August, we were told that our apartment would be fully furnished and ready for us. That was hardly the case because once we arrived, we found that our desks had not been put together, lamps were missing, side tables in the common area were missing and there were countless scuffs, scratches, and dents along the walls and appliances. Aside from the issues in our own unit, the main hallways are never vacuumed and there is a vomit spot that has been on the wall for well over a month now. The elevators also only work about 75% of the time and if you are lucky and it is working, don't expect the floors to be any cleaner in there. They are covered with mud and dirt. I can't speak for other levels, but on level 3, the trash room has been overflowing and after multiple complaints to management, they have still failed to get the issue under control. As for parking, the garages are incredibly small with way too many compact spots. The parking gates also did not work for the first two months making the garage easily accessible to anyone. ***Please do not stay here if you have other options. This is nowhere near to 5 star, luxury living. You will be highly disappointed.*** ***Edited to include image of blood splattered on the elevator. This has been on the elevator for over a week and yet there is clearly no-one coming around doing routine maintenance.***
Overpriced and not well maintained. Management doesn’t care about its tenets and are only trying to make a buck. Highly advise not making this a choice to live. Pool and hot tub are drained and gym is close most of the time. Many of the extra amenities are also closed. You will NOT get your money worth.
Parents/Students welcome to luxury living! As a former resident I can attest Empire provides some of the most luxurious amenities in Columbia such as: Mold in the HVAC system! \Hope you don't have asthma!\ Fingerprint readers that do not work and lock you out of the building! Broken Ice Makers! Doors falling off their hinges! Doors that do not lock! Outdoor grills that drip grease all over the propane knob because someone couldn't be bothered to install a drip pan! WiFi problems galore! The rooftop pool is excellent when it not closed because of an \incident\. At empire you get skyline views unless you get a wall view in which case that will still be 900 dollars a month. Your new premium small bedroom might include features such scuff marks on the walls, drywall patches on the ceiling, and scuffed furniture. Your kitchen might include a poorly installed faucet and a sink that leaks! At empire you get your own bathroom but be careful the door might fall off! Always be on the look out, you might encounter another homeless person wandering around in the stairs. Have a problem? Contact the totally \empathetic/helpful\ management team and they may or may not get back to you in a timely manner. And once you are ready to leave be ready because they aren't done charging you with fees! You're going to have serious fun at Empire!
