The Leinie Lodge is a great place for a show. All the shows are free of charge and they bring in some well known acts. Right next to the seating is a beer Lodge so you don't have to leave if you want to enjoy a couple Lienies during the show. The biggest plus about this place for me is the priority they put on handicapped seating. The whole front row is made up of parking spots for scooters and wheelchairs. There is a secondary handicap zone a little farther back from the stage. My mom who is in a scooter has gone to a show the past two years running and loved being right up front. They also provided a companion chair for me which was very nice. Behind the handicapped seating is first come first serve wooden bench seating. Make sure to come early if it's a well known band. The acoustics aren't perfect but you get a pretty good sound considering the venue is surrounded by the state fair. All in all nothing to complain about.

What a great place to stop at the Fair and enjoy some free entertainment. The headline acts each evening are usually worth your time to stop and enjoy. Seating in the evening always fills up so if you're interested in the act it's worth your time to stake out a spot an hour in advance. The acts during the day (while not as well known) are definitely worthy of a few minutes while you enjoy a cold drink or a new food on a stick in the shade of the massive trees at the Bandshell.
