Some people here are very rude and ask for a ridiculous amount of paperwork to get a driver's license. When you come back with the required paperwork, some people there will tell you they need more. Save yourself the hassle and use a DMV office in a different county of Iowa.

Horrible experience. My wife and I were trying to update our CURRENT driver's license to add a gold star. My wife called ahead of time to make sure we had the correct documents. One of the workers, Mary, would not except the documents, saying they were church copies. It stated on top from the courthouse and had a raised seal and because my wife did not have her first marriage certificate. (Who keeps that!) The supervisor was trying to say it was OK, but Mary argued and refused. She was rude and very condescending. Needless to say my wife could not an updated license with a gold star. Ridiculous

Workers were very friendly and helpful since I needed to get the gold star on my license this year. They are working very hard in sanitizing, taking temperature when you arrive, and only taking customers by appointment. GREAT job ALL the way around on doing their part in keeping people healthy in these pandemic times!!
