I signed up with General Communication for VOIP phone service. They use Toshiba as the backbone to the system. Toshiba has gone down 4 times in 30 days! This is bad for my business. What is worse is GC charges you 75.00 to forward your phones. This is extortion in my opinion. The tech told me "it's not our fault Toshiba goes down". I agree but I don't pay Toshiba, I pay GC for the service. I asked if there is a way to forward the phones without GC and I was told the only way to forward the phones is through GC. If you are looking for a phone system please do your homework and avoid companies like this that charge you when their system goes down. 11/11/19 - update- I just found out after paying thousands dollars to purchase the phones, I have a buyout or I have to send the phones back. I paid THOUSANDS and have to return them and pay fees and shipping! If I could give them negative stars I would!
