Needed advice like most people here, and unless I'm in physical danger or my children are being abused no help.whats so ever. Why tho???? Ridiculous. Waste of time calling just to bounce from phone to phone no.

They don't help anyone who isnt physical danger and the person on the phone sounded drunk or high. They need to hire better people or just shut this place down preferably the latter.
I needed help and called the Wisconsin State bar for a referral. I was referred to the legal aid Green Bay. I then got a call from intake. I did not get a call before mediation and had a mental breakdown and another mediation was scheduled. I was prepared to do it on my own but to my shock I got a call on a Saturday from an attorney who thinks she call help me. Considering the normal shortage and now the covid crisis when tons of unwarranted evictions are being served I am elated I even go a call back and now have Hope this nightmare will be over soon. Thank you is all I can say. Changing my review. Was happy after being prepared to do it in my own that I got a call thought I was going to be assisted. That was not the case after time went by. I had mediation three times and now without resolution with Bigelow Rentals it’s proceeding to eviction and court. I’m behind in rent a month and a half. In this climate that’s pretty good. I was deemed permanently disabled and being faced with living on the street for the second time in three years . Landlord asked court to deem me unfit to live on my own. Someone’s super crazy here but it isn’t me. I highly recommend Doing whatever you can to find a competent attorney find the money to pay them. I got a referral from the Wisconsin State Bar who would not take case because he didn’t want to take my money and referred me to Wisconsin Legal Aud. What? Just more B S Due to miscommunication I was told I would not be represented but after clarifying the details of my case it was accepted. The resolution has been positive an my attorney has worked tiredly to assist me. She has shown kindness, compassion and has dealt with my emotional ups and downs in a professional yet human manner during this extremely difficult time.
I just called for help with a custody issue and was told that they could only help me if there was violence involved. It doesn’t say that on the website. This place is a joke and I am extremely disgusted.
Such a joke. Every legally office regarding anything - in my specific case, child support- refers you to call this office. If you do call, you’re asking three questions: where do you live? Do you have children? Are your children in physical danger? If you answer no, then they refuse to even listen to your question! It’s not Legal Aid! It’s domestic abuse aid & if you don’t fit that criteria, they hang up on you. Shame on you Green Bay!
