Gotta love Sunrise Park Resort! Beautiful mountain, wonderful staff and Ski Patrol all of whom want to help you have a wonderful experience. There is always a positive energy you feel when you're there, that is synergistic with the White Mountain Apache spirit. We are blessed to have Sunrise Park Resort here in Arizona!

Worth it! Taking children skiing for the first time can be a trying. We enrolled the young ones in ski and snow boarding small group school. Cost ranging from 100 plus for several hours. Money well spent. The children took to the slopes better than most adults by the end of the day. The instructors are caring and had a knack for instruction. The snowboarder of our group received a private lesson because no one else signed up for the slot. There was commitment from-the instructors to not only teach “how” but how to enjoy and excel on the slopes. We had a glorious first time experience for the children all thanks to the teaching staff. Much can be said about the lack luster weather conditions in Arizona, that is not the focus of this review. I believe some improvements to the lodge menu and lodge itself could go a long way.

Bottom line - this resort seems like a massive scam. Make your decision to visit with caution- we advance reserved tickets and couldn’t even get in after driving 5 hours and have yet to receive a refund even after being assured numerous times we would over the last month. Essentially, my girlfriend and I decided to drive up one weekend after calling numerous times to confirm they had an RV camping spot available and accessible (given winter conditions). We arrived to find a lot completely snowed in with no access and got stuck attempting to pull off the road to sleep for the night. Thankfully in the morning the plow driver towed us out and we headed up the slopes after talking with a manager who told us take up our issue with someone else. We entered a long line of cars for the resort only to find they had overbooked and weren’t letting anyone else in even though we had advance reserved tickets. In summary, The customer service is not adequate here, not safe, and the employees unfortunately seem to be dysfunctional (and drunk!) at best. As excited as we were to have a great ski day and say great things about this resort, we were incredibly disappointed and we have to recommend against going to this resort for anybody who is interested. It is one of only two resorts in Arizona that are worth driving to, so it seems the management is taking advantage of this fact and this seems like a scam. Even season pass holders who were attempting to go to the resort that weekend we went said they were denied entry and multiple people in line on the road got out of their cars to discuss the passes they paid for but could not be reimbursed for. This resort seems like a massive scam. We’re grateful that we could laugh at this situation and that we found ways to stay warm throughout this crazy night, but we feel this resort is unsafe and poorly managed. Make your decision to visit with caution.

Awesome skiing! The snow crew have does an amazing job managing the snow during the warm days. Definitely spring skiing today! Friendly staff! These are trying times for Businesses. They need our compassion and support! We'll be back on Friday. Thank you Sunrise Ski Resort for being open!

As a native to Arizona this has always been my favorite ski mountain. Yes it’s not that big and their slopes are kinda easy, but they do better, way better, than anything else in Arizona. The land is always pristine and the views are incredible. The roads are easy and manageable. Overall it is a wonderful get out of the city trip for sure.

This was one the best experiences of my life. My family and I were able to learn something as group and thanks to instructor Dave and the staff, we learned how to Ski. Once we mastered standing on we began hitting the pony slope .. I tried my luck on the fairway and ate snow twice but it was so worth it! I finished it! My girls enjoyed playing in the snow and eventually wanted to keep getting up and trying again! Loved it here! So worth it!

Off the Hook! Such a rad resort. No b s just people riding sliding and getting busy. Nice scenic drive from Lakeside . Not too long of a drive. Oodles of parking. They even having camping at base. Its not exactly a small place . Riding is the best social distancing exercising you can do. No better safer place than here.

First trip there was during the COVID year, so really couldn't get the full experience. But the staff were pleasant and trails open were kept nicely groomed, seemed like everyone was making the best of the situation. I'll definitely visit again, looks like a really fun mountain to explore when it's all up and going.
