I feel sorry for the people that have to take their Duramax to this shop. I unfortunately had an air filter collapse and they informed me that my custom bumper allows more water into the air box and that caused the air filter to fail. So, they are telling me that the bumper causes more rain to flow through the cold air intake that is part of the hood. Is that a design flaw that the Duramax has to be a \fair weather\ vehicle? Did GMC/Chevy not do their research with the cold air intake such that it can not handle driving in rain? Either these mechanics don't have a clue about what they are doing or GMC has not done enough research and should initiate a recall.
