Safeside sent out Derick when I called for a cleaning(very quickly too it was during the winter and they had him out within a week). He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain in detail the multiple problems with the chimney/flues in my new house. They also did not leave a speck of dirt or ash anywhere. There were multiple safety(prior owner did not follow code for HE oil burner and used dryer vent for a pellet insert) and corrosion issues so he quoted out what it would cost to repair the chimney properly and even waived the cost of the cleaning for me. The quote seemed very reasonable(from speaking to others that had installed new flues and comparing) so I am having them do the repair/installation work they outlined to make my chimney safe and usable. I would recommend Safeside and Derick to anyone else who needs any chimney work.

They completely rebuilt my chimney. This picture was taken a week ago during the new roof install which is why you see brackets on the roof. I had 4 quotes and the inspection process won me over in addition to the quote. They took photos of the inside and explained to me the liner and flue situations as well. They were on time everyday. Did a beautiful job. I learned about Safeside from a client of mine that used them for her entire chimnney rebuild.
They were very great to work with and honestly it probably saved our life. I didn't realize how dirty our stove must have been until we used it after the cleaning and it has been a charm. No more black smoke coming out of the chimney even when burning coal. We will definitely continue to use their services!
The team let me know when they were on their way and arrived at the scheduled time. They worked quickly and efficiently and communicated with me about any issues they found. They left the work areas so clean, you'd never know they had been there. I was very pleased with their service and will definitely use this company for future chimney services.
Got a quote on November 5th for a wood stove install, and they said they would be able to start work the beginning of December. So on December 7th after not hearing from anyone, I called the company and asked for an update, they didn't have one, but said someone would get back to me the following week. A week and a half goes by, still nothing. So I call them again, and they tell me that it's going to be at least 3-4 weeks to get all the parts and materials, plus an additional 3 weeks after that to get me on the schedule. Luckily when I decided not to do work with the company anymore, they understood why and returned my money in a timely manner. Would not recommend this company unless you don't like knowing what's going on with your job, and don't mind waiting for months for what you had in mind getting started.
