I am a native to the Piedmont Tried, I’ve moved away and lived many places, but there is always one place that I have to visit when I’m in town, Sweet Shoppe Bakery. I’ve recently moved back to the area and this is my birthday cake and I am beyond excited for the biggest bite of nostalgia I’m about to take when I eat a piece of this cake because their cake and icing recipe has not changed! If you can think of a design, they can do it. Not only are their cakes amazing they also have cookies, pies, and so much more. Do yourself a favor, treat yourself, it will be well worth the sugar crash later!!

I don't normally write bad reviews and I go out of my way to support local companies. I went here today and bought chocolate chip cookies and a chocolate chess pie. Cookies were basic but the chess pie tasted like metal and I had 2 other people try it to confirm this. I'm guessing it was sitting in the case for too long or an extract they use had gone bad. I called and no one answered so I'm posting this, shame because I'll never go back.

My parents were bringing me here since 1974 and I still bring my grandchildren. The food is still wonderful and the staff still makes you feel like family and they make banana bread the old fashioned way! Love it!!!

For years I’ve been coming back. Best in the Business. Love the bakery smell when I come to the front door. All the cakes cookies all the goods smells delicious.

I used to love this bakery. I purchased sugar cookies, iced sugar cookies, and various pastries. The sugar cookies were good everything else not so much...The bakery looks drab, dirty, and unkempt. Not to mention several flies in some of the display cases.
