She’s good, but every time I come here I wait over an hour for a less than 10 minute visit. She’s very direct and in my experience, not open to parents’ concerns. She insists on seeing my son every few months, but I may just let his regular pediatrician see him unless things get worse. Her staff should be friendlier as well- they are dealing with children after all.

So where can I start........... First let me just say, we LOVE Dr. Katkin!!!!! When we first moved here from New Orleans my sons asthma was all over the place. He was seeing a pulmonologist in New Orleans, but apparently he wasn’t getting the appropriate treatment. Upon seeing Dr. Katkin we did a PFT( Pulmonary Functions Test) which he’s NEVER gotten in New Orleans. Dr. Katkin did a very thorough exam for my son. She started of aggressive with the treatments because he was very bad off. Then she scaled the medication back a little at a time to see how his asthma would react. Before seeing Dr. Katkin we had very frequent visits to the e.r. Once a solid treatment plan was in place for my son by DrZ Katkin and he was on that plan for a few weeks, we hadn’t had any visits to the e.r. ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!!! His lung functions test numbers get better and better very time we have a checkup. I’m so happy I found Dr. Katkin. P.S. her nurse Greg is awesome as well.
I was born 2 pounds 2 ounces , in & out of the hospital. Told i wont live and if i do then i will nevee talk or walk well here i am thanks to Dr.Katkin i am 21 years old talking, walking with two beautiful sons Thank you Dr.Katkin you the best i love you so much for giving me life . i searched for you & found you now the next step is coming to give you a hug & a gift
