What a great meal. Authentic Greek food isn't easy to find but you can find it at the Petit Cafe. Both the chicken and Gyro meat are prepared on a traditional rotating spit and hand carved. The restaurant was clean and pleasant (maybe a little loud) and the service was prompt and very attentive and friendly. I had the Muhammara dip as a starter and the Gyro wrap with fries, all of it was delicious. My only \complaint\ is that the portions were too large. The Gyro was large and meaty and the dip was sized to share. I asked for my Gyro without onions and that wasn't a problem. All in all a great experience and meal. Petit Cafe is my new go-to place for authentic Greek food.
First time trying this Petit Café today (9/14/20) and it is absolutely excellent! Everything is so flavorful! I even loved the green beans, and I vehemently HATE green beans. The pickles are not too sweet nor sour and the salad was simple yet satisfying. The beef chunks are very tender and cooked medium just as they should be, the rice is perfect, and the sauce may possibly be the best part of the entire meal. It doesn't take over the flavor of the beef and rice, yet rather compliments them and enhances the already delicious flavors. You are doing yourself a disservice if you live in Houston and don't try Petit Café.
Lentil soup and chicken schwarmas are great . Please eat here. They need your business and food is wonderful.
