It was a great day at Rehab Center of Independence!! In our midst was Officer Onstott and K-9 Alpha of the Independence Police department. He spoke about the K-9 unit and how his partner helps to serve and protect. This event was visited by other residents from neighboring facilities.
They took very good care of me here. These are some very nice and compassionate people who do their jobs well... especially the therapy department-theyre a hoot!!! Thank you so much for taking GOOD care of me!!! The food was great and they have killer chef salad- sooo good! All in all the staff is awesome
My Dad was a patient at this facility for a little over a year. We really didn’t have a problem with the facility until he was discharged and we closed out his money account.. We were given a check for monies he had accumulated over the time he was there. Because daddy does not have a checking account we took it to the bank on the check to be told the check wasn’t any good!!! I contacted the facility and was told that the lady that works in the business office was out sick and did know when my dad would be issued a new check... I was also told that someone from the financial department would be contacting us in regards to this. However no on has. I think it’s really sad that my dad who is 80 years old have to go through this and the facility is just giving him the run around and not taking the matter serious!! We will be contacting the State and the news if this matter is not resolved soon.
physical therapy staff was excellent, supportive, caring. nurses were friendly and helpful. food was. good, not great, but that's why you come here. after reaching my goals, the social workers helped me transition to at-home therapy. if i one complaint, it was the doctor. he did not listen to my concerns, and continually talked down to me. when i developed a case of cellulitis, it. was a pt who went to him with her concerns, not him paying attention to me. when i told him i did not have my bp meds on me, as i came by ambulance, he replied \that's ok. too many people are taking them for no reason anyway\.
