Worst dental experience I’ve EVER had! One year ago I gave this office a raving review. “We had such a great experience! With 5 kids, trips to the dentist can be time consuming and stressful. The staff made us feel welcome and were so accommodating. The doc was a lot of fun and SO patient with us. I’m so glad we found this place!” Today, I have never felt more shamed and like my entire visit was a big interrogation. The old doctor moved away and we saw the “Saturday” doctor who has apparently been here a while. This was our first time meeting him and I will never be returning. The visit (which I made because my 6 year old has been having a lot of pain) consisted entirely of him chastising me over everything. Why did we miss appointments? (There was a pandemic, we live an hour away, we moved, we got a foster son, life...), why don’t we see someone closer (there is none that accept our insurance closer), why haven’t we seen a pediatric dentist (see previous reason), why are her teeth so bad, do I watch her brush, why don’t I watch her brush, why don’t I brush for her, etc. You get the idea. When I told him I missed some appointments due to the drive, he asked me how long it takes us to her there. When I replied an hour he PULLED MY DRIVERS LICENSE UP on the computer as if I was lying to him. Then he did nothing more than look in my daughter’s mouth and tell the tech “I guess” on what they should do. We clearly were nothing more than an inconvenience to him. I made this appointment for help with my daughter being in pain, not to be made to feel like I’m a bad mother. I will NEVER be returning to this office. And I recommend unless you’re life and teeth are perfect, stay away.

So I tend to avoid the dentist like the plague (can we still use that lingo during covid?) due to previous experiences that were not so good. However, the dentist here was terrific and the hygienists are equally great. This was the first time in my life I was actually numbed to the point I felt nothing. I didn't feel the shot, I didn't feel the filling, it was great. So if you want to see a doctor that knows what he's doing, come here.

I drove my son 3 hours to come here and I'm glad I did and would do it again. Both dentists that worked on my sons teeth along with the staff were awesome! So grateful they found some cavities that his primary dentist somehow missed?!.The office is very clean.Thank you to everyone at International dental joliet for all that you did for us today!
