I don't write negative reviews as I feel there's enough negativity in this world, but I felt compelled to make other soon-to-be Mommy's and people considering this office very aware. Dr. Calderon's nurse at the Port Richey office is VERY argumentative, uncooperative, and has zero patience. She does NOT go out of her way to make the patient feel comfortable, she rushes, completely unprofessional and refuses to go the extra mile and without reason. I immediately changed doctor's after having an abrupt conversation with her. The lady at the front desk was a sweetheart and Dr. Calderon was kind and answered all my questions. However, it's a team effort, and I felt extremely discouraged after the nurse caused me unwarranted stress while pregnant. BEWARE!!!

UPDATE: The nurse and office manager gave me a hard time at Dr. Calderon's office regarding a pre-approval with my insurance company. I called my insurance and they supplied me with a 800 number for their office to call. The nurse got aggressive and said NO!! I decided to switch doctor's offices and my new OBGYN's office got the pre-approval with NO ISSUES and I had to pay ZERO out of pocket for great peace of mind. If you want staff that's willing to go the extra mile for you during your pregnancy, I would absolutely consider another office!!! SO HAPPY I CHANGED!!!!! Dr Calderon's office in New Port Richey is so unprofessional; they supply foam coffee cups from the grocery store/Wal-Mart for you to urinate in. Talk about unsanitary to say the least!!! What a HUGE difference in care when I changed offices right on down to the sanitary and kindness!!! The only person that had heart was their receptionist. She needs a raise dealing with all the unprofessionalism that office spews!!

If i could give negative stars i would. the only great employee they have is Linda ( i think that's her name) in the New Port Richey office, & She deserves a raise. I got a surgery done with them in November, where they needed payment up front- then they never applied this payment to my insurance so i was billed by the hospital to hit my deductable. I have called, my Insurance has called, and the hospital has called them trying to get my refund for this money i paid up front to so that it can be redirected to the hospital who processed the claim in a timely manner. Over a month with no response from them. I finally connect with their Finance, who i guess only one person can do it there- she had a emergency and she was out of the office-who claims they just got the refund request, but my insurance got a confirmation receipt in Jan. over a month ago. This is just one of the issues that ive had. Now they are not even processing my full refund, because they are claiming that to use an american express you have to pay a fee? Which was NEVER DISCLOSED TO ME when i paid. They are happy to take your money and then never call you back. Dr. Calderon is a great doctor. His office staff in the Clearwater office needs training though. When i was to even schedule my appt, i was told that they would contact my insurance and get back to me- i called to follow up since i never received any communication and i was told to do it myself. Very displeased with the service provided from that office staff.

Hands down best experience I've had throughout the pregnancy and L&D. Dr. Calderon has exceptional bed side manners and genuinely care for his patients. Nurses and staff all provide great care. I am beyond grateful to find such an awesome team!
