Visited in April, 2018. Very helpful people and lots of pamphlets for the area. If you ask at the from, they have state maps in a drawer. Free coffee and a small gift shop are on the center as well. A short walk outside will take you to a Louisiana sign and then an enclosure that has some small alligators to look at. Makes for a nice stop.

One of the nicest visitor centers I have been to by far! Definitely a place to stop. They have an AMAZING selection of pamphlets, lots of seating, and outdoor trail, cool sculptures, and really clean bathrooms. I was pleasantly surprised. This would be a great place to stop for lunch or just to take a break.

Long drive from El Paso to Louisiana but this was a great place to stop and walk around before we got back on the road. Gift shop inside, a small alligator viewing area and picnic tables. Highly recommended you stop here.

How can you be closed when the doors are unlocked and people going in and out? And then say someone needs a mask when you don't even have one close by? If this Louisiana's welcoming center, keep you state and the lairs who live in it!
